Was born in 1966 and studied printmaking at the West Surrey College of Art & Design.
His work is based on the relationship between land and sea, particularly Cornwall’s north coast where he lives. His paintings are saturated with large areas of rich colour, which have simple but strong compositions. This results in images imbued with calm reflection promoting a state of tranquility for the onlooker. His delicate control of paint is clear; his brushstrokes are sometimes heavy with intense, deep blues and sometimes watery with the lightest hint of colour.
